From 1942 to the present day

Although more than half a century "old", the company has evolved by adapting to trends and the economic market, without ever changing the composition of its monoi oil. Since it was created, the almost unchanged packaging has evolved with Polynesian customs. For instance, the transparent glass bottle, ideal for checking that the product remains unaltered and of perfect quality, remains highly prized for export and is synonymous with luxury. Packaging in a less fragile plastic bottle has largely replaced glass due to its practical qualities, and is suited to domestic use (beach, boat, etc.). Excessive tanning is no longer in vogue.

Modern women want to be protected while retaining a tanned complexion. This is why we have created monoi oil enhanced with a sun filter. The need to get "back to basics" and nature inspired us to add a tiare (Tahitian gardenia) flower to the bottle of Tiki monoi and this is now our product’s visual brand.

Exports of TIKI monoi have helped make this natural product – produced according to time-honored traditions – known around the world. It plays an important part in the region’s economic growth by perpetuating the idyllic image of Tahiti and its women. For instance monoi’s cosmetic virtues have been referred to in many international magazines such as "ELLE", "Vogue", "Marie-Claire", "Votre Beauté", "Marie-France". Monoi’s natural qualities have been extolled in "Médecine Beauté", "Natural Foods Merchandiser", "Action Sports", and “Shape".
